"Blast Off" is a short and simple space exploration-themed "choose your own adventure" game created using HTML5 and CSS. It follows the path of a space explorer (the user) as they travel to various planets, each with their own perils that could be fatal. The user has the option to land on that planet or to continue onwards based on the information given about that planet, and give the option to start over in case a choice proved to be fatal. Ultimately, the game ends in the user's death either way, offering a commentary on whether we are actually in control of anything in our lives.

The visuals in the game are mostly vector images created in Illustrator, and draw inspiration from various sources such as BBC's Doctor Who as well as my own personal creative writing project in which I created several languages and writing systems. The game can be played on Github.
