Book Trailer - Arabian Nights
The aim of the project is to create
an accessible book trailer of Arabian Nights
that can express in a simple way the complexity
of its essence and narrative structure
and richness of its contents.
Voiceover and subtitles are included to make
the project accessible to deaf and blind people.
A story from night to day
The focus of the book trailer resumes the main
theme of the book, which is to tell a story
that begins during the night and stops
just before dawn. The voice of Scheherazade
has the task of guiding the viewer as he immerses
himself in the vast imaginary of the book
through a circular journey that evokes different
scenarios that refer to the collection of novels
and issues addressed.
The metaphor of the solar system represent the complexity of Arabian Nights's structure.
Scheherazade's eyes, the narrator from whom the entire system of stories is born and depends,
are placed in the center as if she were the sun that feeds everything, while all around
the planets orbit, or rather the novels that tells every night. The solar system contracts
and expands at the beginning of the story to fall back on itself just before the end.
