Sesen's Songs is a small collection of some of the most popular Bashkir fairy tales. These tales are from Bashkortostan, a republic
in Russia, and their creators are the Bashkir people. In the old times the Bashkir roamed the steppe and passed their stories generation to generation. These stories were told by sesens —storytellers who sang songs to the sound of the musical instrument called dumbyr and passed on ancient legends to their descendants.

This book should be the first step in understanding and getting
to know the Bashkir culture. The final product is a hand-binded book with Bashkir folk tales and original illustrations put together
in an experimental way. Coming from the Republic of Bashkortostan I myself wanted to share the stories I liked since being a child.
