Bid Wars: Pawn Empire is a storage auction simulation game set on a fictional american town. As an ongoing game, multiple updates were made to keep it fresh, and here are some parts of the city I've worked on.
City Casino

For this project we had three weeks to make a mini-game cassino inside our existing game's town. One of the Games presented would be a reskin of our "Lucky Spin" roulette minigame (previously done as an MVP) and the other would be a brand-new slot machine.

As the game is set on a beat-up town the player slowly renovates, two different assets were made for the exterior of the cassino: the "abandoned" initial state, and the newly renovated one. For these buildings I've used some variations of the game's own color pallete, as we needed a vibrant color that wasn't too gaudy to the point it would overshadow the buildings needed for the core loop of the game. The Casino's croupie, Maya, a confident and smart indian woman who recently moved to town, was also created during that time.
After player validation, we've got some time to refine our work, and a new version of the slot machine was made available for higher level players. This new iteration contains some particle effects made with our in-house engine for some extra juice, I worked on adapting the animations into the new skin, and on the special effects and score displays.
Autoshop

Our target audience is composed of mostly 25-30 year old men that are very passionate about cars and customization, therefore we saw fit building a little car store in our game so the players could play around with some shiny new vehicles during the auction's final screens. This mechanic was initally tested as a MVP where we had a button on the user's HUD which changed only the in-auction car and then, as our proposal got validated by the players, we've expanded it into an in-game shop.
The cars were both outsourced and in-house reskins of our old in-game car, with some animations edited from our old Spine 2D animations when needed to.
Locksmith (UI and animations)

This one is a revamp of a previously discarted gacha feature our team happened to find alond the way, since the building and some animations were already done, we've adapted the old wireframes in order to our current needs and made some new "instant unlocking" animations
Special Auctions

In order to give our players some new content after a long hiatus, our product manager asked us to make some premium auctions inside the game, these auctions would all have special themes and storages featuring some exclusive items and players would be charged in hard currency in order to play them.

The most challenging of them, by far was the boat auction, which was made possible due to our great communication with the game developers so it would came to light, since it basically changes the whole structure of the game's storages.
