Gaia is a project conceived within the framework of a partnership and competition with the French furniture industry in collaboration with Domocité. The main themes of this creation are: customization to evolve with the needs and correspond to more people; vegetalize to meet a strong current demand little used in urban environments. In order for this project to be compatible with the reduced spaces, the desire to vegetate is treated in verticality.
Gaia est un projet conçu dans le cadre d’un partenariat et concours avec l’ «ameublement français» en collaboration avec Domocité. Les thématiques principales de cette création sont : la personnalisation pour évoluer avec les besoins et correspondre à davantage de personnes; végétaliser pour répondre à une forte demande actuelle peu exploitée dans les milieux urbains. Afin que ce projet soit compatible avec les espaces réduits du milieu urbain, la volonté de végétaliser est traitée en verticalité.
The structure is composed of vertical and horizontal parts that fit together and are fixed by screws. The user has the possibility to choose his own composition. It is then possible to add the rest of the elements at his convenience. Among these elements are solid wood shelves, flower pots and book backs. All the materials are dissociable facilitating their recycling.
La structure est composée de parties verticales et horizontales qui viennent s’emboîter et se fixer par des vis. L’utilisateur a la possibilité de choisir lui même sa propre composition. Il est ensuite possible d’ajouter le reste des éléments à sa convenance. Parmi ces éléments on retrouve des étagères en bois massif, des pots de fleurs et des fonds de livre. L’ensemble des matériaux sont dissociables facilitant leur recyclage.
