Fundraising: Refuge for the Refugees
In July-August 2021, Malaysia went into a dire situation where more and more people, especially from vulnerable communities, were in need of financial and food aid. I had been volunteering at a refugee school under Refuge for the Refugees via my church's community outreach programme, and they had been sending out food packs for refugees across the Klang Valley every weekend.
I thought I could do something to gather the community to help. So I decided to offer icon arts in exchange for food aid donations. In the span of 2 months, I had managed to raise RM10,020 in total, through roughly 80 icon arts.
