I created all the art and animation for this project as well as the ambient soundtrack. The aim was create a retro aesthetic as seen in classic adventure games of the past.
As with all independent games, GIFs, image tweets and gameplay clips are vital in drawing attention to a project prior to it's release.
I created many variations of trees and vegetation to fill the Sumatran forest. With so many scenes set in the jungle the challenge was to make locations varied and interesting enough for the player to navigate, while keeping the jungle coherent.

A big aim of this project was to allow the player to take their time. Perhaps stop, even make a cup and sit watching the calm jungle scenes and ambient sounds.
Concept art played quite a big part in this project. Often rough scenes that were sketched out on a whim would end up finding their way into the plot.
The game was featured at the 2019 Adventure X 'Narrative and Adventure Gaming' event in London. It was a good chance to have some fun, meet lots of people and print off some goodies to give away related to the project!
