Kakao Webtoon Brand Movie 1:

Infinite Story

Kakao Group presents a new type of webtoon platform, the Kakao Webtoon. Unlike previous platforms, Kakao Webtoon utilizes moving thumbnails and an unending scrolling interface that brings life to still images.

To feature the sheer amount of various contents on one platform, we created a film using one camera from the beginning to the end, which navigates through the different stories and genres featured on the platform.

Since webtoons are traditionally non-moving 2D images, it was challenging for us to bring them into a 3D animated world. After going through many trials, we were able to re-create the world of webtoons by finding balance between multiple genres and between still and moving images.

Kakao Webtoon Brand Movie 2:

Space Diver

In our 2nd feature film, we wanted to emphasize the ‘infinite frames’ concept that shows the viewers, an endless world of Kakao Webtoon.

The Space Diver symbolizes a new viewer who is navigating through the stories in the digital world. The Kakao Webtoon platform breaks the barrier of traditional 2D webtoons that were bound to still frames to show the viewers a new age of webtoons.
