Reflex Consult wanted to incorporate rebar (reinforcing steel bars) within their logo. We couldn't find a typeface that suited our idea of putting a steel bar through the letter 'E', so we did what any decent designer would do - built a whole alphabet of my own typeface that suited the style of logo I was aiming for.
