This was a commission for a client over on Twitter, heavily inspired by the tv show Craig of the Creek.

 

Here you can see the stages it went through.

The sketch in which I figured out the perspective, posing and composition of the elements and the characters.

After the sketch, I cleaned up all the lines making sure the background lines were thinner than the character ones so there was no visual competition between them.

And finally, I added colours and shading. I did the shading of the characters more detailed to make them the center of attention.
