STARTING WITH AN IDEA

An Urban Modular Vehicle (UMV) research platform was developed as part of the major 'Next Generation Car' project. It allows DLR traffic researchers to gain insights into the car of the future. The result is an intelligent, automated electric vehicle that moves people and goods in tomorrow’s megacities.

FLEXIBLE DESIGN

Thanks to its modular design, the shuttle can be used flexibly and combines different vehicle types on one platform. Nine different versions of the vehicle, which can be adapted to the respective needs of the user - from small cars to vans - were developed during the project. The ‚Stadtmobil‘ is ordered via an app. Interior design, exterior design, user experience design, digital form-finding: the next generation car was created through  close cooperation of all areas of studiokurbos. Emotion and enthusiasm: in close coordination with the customer, an overall technological experience for the future of mobility was created.
