Events in life never go according to plan. They change, evolve and disappear. This is how we learn and adapt to the circumstances that take place. These two body's of work, taken before, during and after my father's death, although ambiguous, these photographs link my life and the history of Northumberland with the identity of my father. This has become a cathartic process. By exploring my landscape, as well as my past and future, this work has become a form of photographic therapy that may resonate with others.
