This was a competition brief made by the Folio Society. Three ghost stories were to be included within the book: 'The Treasure of Abbot Thomas', 'The Upper Berth' and 'A Tale of an Empty House'. Each story needed a full page illustration to accompany it. The cover design was also necessary for this brief.

I opted for a turquoise shade and white to be block printed onto a darker blue colour as often the Folio Society books were block printed onto cloth. I tried to keep the same colour palette for the cover and illustrations so they looked like a set. Darker overlays were added to give an eerie feel.
