Rockwell Typography

Rockwell Typography Poster
Typography! A school assignment that I did about typeface. Rockwell is a typeface which is under slab serif. It was designed by Frank Pierpont and this font was release in 1934 by Monotype Corporation.
Rationale behind my design: I feel that Rock well is a very special font. It is unique because initially, I thought it was ugly but I played around with colours and patterns. The usual colours that designers use are dark and vampy. I have decided to go with pastel colours as well as include ample space so that it looks minimalistic for my first page. The lines in the letter R indicates unity in the design. I visioned that the letter R would standout and so I enlarge it as well as mask it with lines.
I went with a bright yellow and black. I feel that if I add too much colour on my poster, it would catch the viewer attention as it would look like there are a lot of things to take in. I play around with the words and fonts and included an outline of Frank Hinman Pierpont. I think that he should be in this poster so that people know that Rockwell was under his establishment. Hinman also wears a hat which I included a vector of it
Did a mood board for inspirations!
