When getting to know a person there is always a period of conversations that are almost an interview. You engage the person in a series of questions, which range from where they are from to what they want to do with their life, and all of their answers strive toward the goal of showing their unique personality. But is anyone really unique? This series entitled Individual Sameness is about how although we as human beings try to each be a unique individual we are all the same. To capture this sameness, I set up the camera on an interval timer while I interviewed each individual asking them a set of generic questions. The arrangement of the images into photo booth strips is to emphasize the idea of sameness. The images selected to create the photo strips are the ones in which the person has let their guard down and allowed their true self to show to the camera.
