Portraiture Portfolio
I really try to describe my style as Cinematic or Atmospheric. I strive to make the viewer feel Some type of emotion. Whether its sad, happy, lonely or uncomfortable. Most of my sessions have a reference or starting point but I generally let the overall feel of the moment take control. I start with mood boards, the day of the shoot I take the first ten minutes to get to know the model or subject then we let the creativity flow. For my professional environmental portraits or headshots sessions I have a very straight forward method: Show the viewers who my client Is as a person. Every editing session is different but all consist of the same elements: Directing the attention to the subject (whether Its by manipulating lighting, adding in gradients as vignetting to darken surrounding areas or compositing in multiple exposures) and color grading.
