"Alegria" | DOOH Challenge

DIGITAL OUT-OF-HOME CHALLENGE
The lockdown made sure young talents were digitally hidden behind their laptops. A ‘’creative quarantine’’ so to speak. And that’s a shame... if you ask us. Because creativity should be openly celebrated. This is why We are RA*W and Extention Media NL wants to give young talents a spotlight for their creative work. On 2300+ digital screen, out in the open for everyone in the Netherlands to see! That’s why they created a DOOH challenge, where the digital screens will be the canvas for our art in their STREETHEART exposition.


Briefing
We were briefed in creating the best and cheerful designs to which for us signifies "the taste of joy". STREETHEART wants to capture the feeling of pure happiness to fill the streets with colors and joy as the world is opening again. 

Concept
I remember growing up this word "Alegria" always presented with family. 
My mother used to always say this word during cultural festivals, dancing at parties, going out to eat, hanging out with loved ones or friends. 
It's a cultural word that always brought people together, creating long lasting memories and a joyful feeling that stays with me for a lifetime. 
I wanted to recreate something which would give people this same feeling or bring cultures together because to me spending time with people you love is a "taste of joy".
