5 Second Animation

Character Development and Short Animation
For this assignment, i was asked to develop a character of my choice. i decided to base my character on an average teenage girl, full of angst i tried to represent this through crazy hair colours and young modern clothing.
I took a variety of photograph's of my teenage sister, to help towards the development of my character. The primary research enabled me to develop my character's posture and facial features by working directly from the research i had gathered.
In order to create my animation, i conducted research into drawing styles and body postitioning. Once i felt confident enough with my findings, i then began to apply them to my own sketches. Researching body proportion and body positioning really helped me to develop my character further.
I tried to develop my character showing a variety of emotions. I drew different eyes to express the emotion my character was feeling as she has no visible mouth, which made it difficult to portray emotion just through eyes alone.
Finished Character.
Finished portfolio board to display the steps taken to achieve the finished outcome.
Here is my compelted five second animation, although very basic, i am very proud to say it is my first animation. i believe the process could have been improved, but overall i am happy with the outcome.
