Mirror, Mirror
When creating a holiday merchandising concept in a city as widely traveled and culturally diverse as New York City it's important to engage as many potential clients and on-lookers as possible. I wanted to create a winter wonderland that most people could relate to without screaming "Merry Christmas".
Mirror, Mirror was inspired by the classic fairy tale, Snow White. I built a forest of white birch accented with white poinsettias in the front window of my Fifth Avenue boutique. The jewelry vitrines were completely recovered in a 4-sided C-Print depicting portions of an actual birch forest, camouflaging them among the real trees. The vitrine interiors were decorated with vintage hand mirrors and crimson colored apples to further illustrate the concept.
