Tripper - travelling app

Problem Space

The topic of this app is concerned with travelling. People do not have a real option to join trips and find people to travel with that would cater to their needs. I have decided to explore this gap and find out how to help people organise trips easily and fast at best times for them.

Secondary Research

On the basis of the defined problem space, I have delved into a Google search to find out what are the possible options for people in Poland to organise trips and find a travelling buddy. From my search it became clear that there are not that many options. It seems that the only possible choices that lonely people have is Meetup and Facebook Groups. The first one seems to be restricted to business meetings or social events while Facebook groups are based on closed groups where it is not easy to find something that would specifically cater to a personal need.

Primary Research

The established area of needs helped me to carry out a screener survey which narrowed down my search to the group of people at the age between 25-40 who would love to travel more but indeed find it hard to find a companion or a trip that would satisfy their needs.

Synthesis

The interviews highlighted the below ideas:
- no place to easily plan your trip 
- no place to find a travelling partner that would be willing to take into account your needs
- no place to find option for decent travel reviews for the self organised trips

Personas

The synthesis translated into the following Personas that create my target audience: travel freak willing to share and organise trips, busy student that needs others to accommodate to her schedule, busy mom with no time to plan for her holidays and needing help with that.

The Problem space to be solved is a s follows:
1. How might we help people find reliable trip organisers
2. How might we help people accommodate trips to their schedule
3. How might we help people find new travel companions

As a next step a user flow chart was created to show the main actions taken by the user to complete their tasks.

Finally, presenting the end version of the app, which is a collection of all the above research and strives.
