The world moves at such a fast pace, leaving little to no room for mistakes or doubt. I am no stranger to the stress and competitiveness to constantly be better, to secure memorable and important achievements. But in the midst of getting caught up in bigger things, sometimes it’s easy to forget to take a breather and look at the smaller achievements that may seem insignificant but did make an improvement in my life. This sparked me to wonder about the people around me, around all of us, who may have overlooked the smaller wins they have because they’re too caught up in achieving bigger goals, trying to get somewhere. There’s nothing wrong with focusing on the bigger things, but I think it’s equally important to acknowledge the smaller ones so that we appreciate ourselves better, especially on days when we feel like nothing is going right.
Hence, I made this book to capture moments that didn't seem like they were much to shout about but actually deserved to be celebrated. With stories told by others, I translate them into cake illustrations. This book consists of 10 heartfelt stories.
