Puce magazine began as an exploration into the technical aspects of creating dynamic content. The goal was to present a publication that displayed the same sense of ethereal mystery that was exhibited in French fashion of the early 19th century. In order to accomplish this, it was important to have a proficient understanding of the formal elements of design and how they work together to create compelling editorials.
Solution
Following considerable research into French fashion and culture, Puce magazine emerged as a publication focusing on foreign sophistication. Readers are kept engaged by establishing visual hierarchies and refined grid layouts. The publication successfully provides clear communication and consistent story telling while keeping content interesting by juxtaposing typography with photography.
