A huge project for my design class. The assignment was a graphic design contest for design students in north Texas high schools hosted by Medical City Children's hospital. My design was chosen to be submitted and represent KellerISD. I placed third out of all the submitted designs.
My Process
The cookbook was meant to appeal to kids grades K-5 and had a theme of fruits, veggies, and the seasons. I really tried to hone in on the childlike aspect by making my design very cartoonish and cute. The seasons were represent by the tree with each of the seasons also having their own design for a recipe page. I also included small illustrations of whatever fruit or vegetable in that recipe doing actives that related to the season it was in.
