It's Starwars Fanart...and also not my best compositing.

In recent time, i often thought about the idea to check, how far i can push my computer. We all know the big battleship warping sequence from Starwars 9. I also have read that ILM used Renderman for this task in the movie(https://www.fxguide.com/.../rise-of-skywalker-ilm-closes.../). So i thought.. This should be possible on my 4 core Intel. To my suprise, this was no problem at all. On the final render you see 991 Star Destroyer ships. The so called ISD. This model is made by Ansel Hsiao avaliable on scifi3d.com.

Each ISD has 1,56 million polygons and 1276 pxr_sphere and pxr_rectangle lights including light filters for each group. I also animated the warpin and activated 3d motionblur with 3 steps , so that every ship has a individual motionblur on warpin. I also have added the PXR physical cam, which provided Lense deformation at rendertime and realistic vignetting.

Heres are the stats: First time to pixels 42 seconds, 7.5 Gb RAM usage. 1264516 Lights and ~1545960000 Polys. Total Rendertime with 256 maximum samples was 4,6 hours on 4096 x 1716 pixels. My CPU is a i7 4790k running on 4.6ghz. The earth was added in compositing. Also glowing effects are post effects
