A project for my design class. The assignment was to create a design of my choice to be printed onto a t-shirt.
My Process
Within Photoshop I created two separate sketches of the snake and crystal. I created two separate layers for the topside and underside of the snake and applied some gradients and textures to them. I added a white line as a stylistic highlight. I created the crystal on a separate layer of the snake, adding gradients to different sections of the crystal to give it more depth and then added the stylistic highlight. I then created a copy of my snake to place over the crystal and remove the sections need to make the snake look like it's wrapped around it.
Bonus
My first idea of my design was to use a dragon instead of a snake. I created a sketch on paper and mapped out the colors in Photoshop but then scrapped the idea.
