Monster Project: For this project I had to create and illustrate my own monster and its backstory. I wanted to keep the colors of the background simple and neutrals so that the colors and gradients of my monster stood out. 

My Monster's name is Elton. Elton lives in a rural and run-down city under a brick bridge. He chose this area of the city to live because the sound of the trains going by helps him fall asleep and reminds him of home. He is originally from a volcano in Hawaii, but when it erupted he got shot out into the sky and landed in the small ( and pretty much abandoned ) city. Elton's personality is very friendly and kind, but he can tend to be stubborn and sarcastic to his friends. He loves to play soccer and stay active. His flames on his head often get in a bigger blaze when he is angry. While his physical attributes don't correlate to his current living environment, he was able to adapt. Elton is a fiery gecko / lizard who is around 4 in human years. His main friend group consist of residents in the city; specifically young kids and small animals. Elton's "sidekick" is his soccer ball that he named Jonny. He takes Jonny everywhere with him. Elton's hobbies are burning random items with his fire when he's bored, playing soccer ( winning against the city kids ), and climbing sky scrapers to see the amazing view that reminds him of his home. Elton's main talent is doing tricks with Jonny his soccer ball.
