The name "Awake Koala" came at first as some kind of joke. We ended up liking it so much that we thought we just had to create an avatar! His name is Ernest by the way.

When we started to think about the visual identity, some points seemed very important to us: we wanted something sober on the one hand and fun and dynamic elements on the other hand (in adequacy with our name and our mascot).

Some things you should know before you take a look at the interface:
Our concept was based on the idea of proposing movie ideas depending on your current envies (thanks to a platform/theme/duration selection system).
Of course, you can also search your movie precisely if you already know exactly what you want to watch.

There was a lot of other ideas we didn't fully implemented. A light mode was one of them: here's the phone version.
We preferred to keep a dark mode, as we thought it would be more confortable for that kind of services.

That's it for this first Throwback! I know it is not perfect but we learned a lot through this project, notably by working with a dev team and having to adapt our interface with what was technically possible (and updating it with all the new ideas, as we were working in parallel!)
