A graduate of the Pacific School of Religion with a master's degree in divinity, Darren Cowdrey serves as a pastor at the California Pacific Conference. Together with his wife, Darren Cowdrey works with individuals and groups of many denominations at the Aldersgate Retreat Center.

Owned and operated by the United Methodist Church, the retreat center provides a peaceful location for non-profit and other organizations, as well as a lovely venue for weddings, memorials, and meetings. In addition to a chapel with seating for 50, the center boasts several outdoor gardens.
