PROJECT POSSIBLE

Description:

Project possible is about women empowerment. This project is a commissioned work. The logo patch is patterned on my clients characteristic. She's a Filipina hiker preparing for the big shot of putting the Filipino flag on top of the Mt. Everest.

Design process:

Research > Rough Sketch > Design > Final Touch

Goal:

The goal is to express women empowerment representing the pride of the Philippines on top of the tallest mountain in the world.

Challenges:

The challenge is to collaborate Filipino pride, women empowerment, summit, and strong will in one presentation.

Final output:

(The Shield)
First I choose the shape of a shield. It serves as the will protection to overcome obstacles since this will be a no ordinary hike.

(The Color)
I chose the colors of the Philippine flag (red, blue, white, and yellow) as the background of the main subject to represent the Filipino pride. Pink was requested because she told me that she'll be wearing make up along the hike. Blue and white for the the Mt. Everest representing the climate (which is cool colors) and the snow.

(The Elements)
The core element of this logo is the women holding a flag, promoting feminism. It represents the strong will of my client as the pose of the subject on top of the summit shows victory. On the Mt. Everest, scattered some pink over to encourage other women to do the impossible and also on that is the shape of the country Nepal (which is where Mt. Everest is located). Then the white color that transcends upward highlights our subject on the logo. The background is a reference from the Philippine flag which is the three stars and a sun. The sun is placed at the center of the logo to highlight the subject and becomes both the core of the logo.

This is what it looks like after it was printed on the patch.
