INFORMATION VISUALIZATION
Inforgraphic Design- Parse, Filter, Mine large data
Extent of project- 8 weeks

Team- Tanvi Prashant, Zarah Tyagi, Siddhi Mahajan
For the project, I worked in a team of three. The data used for the project was acquired from kaggle.
As TED Talks has large number of audience and the immense diversity of content that it provides for free, we chose it to work on our project. TED Talks is a platform where inspirational ideas are shared with the public. It’s open to everyone and allows people to gain insights into the social factors around the world.

Aspects we planned to look on to-
Which are the most viewed and most favorite Talks of all time? Are they mostly the same? What does this tell us?
What kind of topics attract the maximum discussion and debate (in the form of comments)?

Relevance for the same- Perhaps the biggest reason TED matters is the actual impact it has had on millions of lives — especially over the past eight years since TED talks have been posted online for free. TED organizers said they’ve received thousands of letters and emails from people telling them how one or more TED talks have impacted their lives for the better.

The raw data acquired was then parsed and filtered according to the aspects we were looking forward to. We further mined the data and represented it into bubble chart. Lastly we refined the chart to enhance and keep the aesthetics of ted talks with our infographic. My job within the team was looking parsing and filtering the necessary data and making of visualization using flourish.
