In this project we were required to make a model of a foot of our choice and make an exact replica of the shoe using triplex cardboard. The aim of the project was to introduce us to basic model making skills. The project comprised of three sections; making a 1:1 scale replica of the shoe, making a sectional view of the shoe, and a sectional mirror imprint of the chosen shoe.
With our chosen footwear we were required to produce an exact replica of the original shoe using a 1:1 scale.
This exercise required that one to make a sectional view of the shoe, in other words how the shoe looks in the inside if it were cute in half.
Basic tooling was the third & final stage of the project. We were required to make a model of the sectional mirror imprint of the outside of the actual shoe.
