Botanic Gardens has many large fields but the lack of facilities and activities makes it less captivating to families. At the same time, with the advancement in technology, young children are stripped away from the carefree and simple feeling of just running around and interacting with other children and their own families.

Therefore, the O:DDBalls is an annual family festival held at the gardens to help parents to develop deeper relationships with their children as well as help to build a community for parents to interact to share parenting tips and tricks to help each other out.
