The legend of love

Once upon a time there lived a spider in the forest. He was lonely and wise, he loved his loneliness and wisdom and he did not need anyone else. The spider drank some dew and loved to regale his friends tasty flies cooked by himself.
One day a wise bumblebee appeared in the forest. He used to work a lot on the green glade and very often getting close to the forest he has never been inside.
The darkness of the forest fascinated the bumblebee and he moved on and on into the very wildwood until he met the spider.
What for a coincidence! The furry legs were so beautiful, the strips were so amazingly alike, the wisdom was so obvious! They both reflected in their eyes and couldn’t wish for anyone more. They have been talking all night long, but the sun rose and bumblebee had to return to his work on the green glade.
The bumblebee returned to the green glade but could see neither flowers, nor his friends bees. His eyes were filled with the darkness of the forest, with the silver of the tree branches, with the blackness of the spider’s strips.
And spider realized that he met the real happiness and he should follow it. As soon as night came down he went to the glade, found there the bumblebee and said: I can’t live without you anymore, you are the best creature in the world, please come to live with me.
I can build the lacy spiderwebs so cozy that you forget everything, I will give you all my flies, and if you don’t eat flies I will bring you tender flowers that you can drink nectar. We will have the endless talks and live happily together.
Everything was the way the spider promised – the beauty of the cozy spiderweb, the magic forest and nectar of nocturnal flowers. Until their talks became shorter, the interest to each other went down and they started to think about their past and personal values.
The spider escaped in the dark wildwood , drank there the heady dew and recalled the old days. The love seemed ordinary and not important.
And bumblebee recalled that the work used to be his real happiness, he wanted to go away from the forest and asked the spider to let him go.
But the cunning dew clouded the vision of the spider, he couldn’t let the bumblebee go and spun the web more tightly. The poor bumblebee died in the beautiful lace of the spiderweb.
The inconsolable spider couldn’t bear that loss, the whole world went dark for him forever. He never could leave the place where his only happiness were buried and died of grief unable to have it back.
