I've always loved the look of contour and its attention and focus on the lines and forms of individual feature when it comes to portraiture. These pieces where a further exploration into how I could intensify that work of contour and to draw out emotion without the use of color and simple with minimal values. I personally love how they worked, and how they deepend the expression and feautures of the individuals, from the vacancy in the elderly gentleman's eyes to the pitch black hair of the elderly lady.
