Ardent Student* is a young sustainable fashion brand with a thoughtful minimal collection that uses 100% bio-based and biodegradable materials. The small apparel brand is designed with a purpose, using materials that have the lowest possible impact. It combines natural botanical dyes made from natural sources such as plants, fruits, and vegetables by practicing eco-friendly production methods. Their goal is that each garment is created with the lightest possible environmental footprint. Ardent Student* wants to make a difference and believes small changes can make a positive impact. It also educates consumers about the benefits of truly sustainable fabrics and the production history.
The design challenge is to redesign and innovate the way people consume and access clothes, demonstrating the benefits of more sustainable fabric alternatives in the fashion industry. The brand has a bold, yet minimalist brand identity that stands out with its bright colour palette and use of typography, which creates a cohesive and eye-catching combination for the young audience of the brand, while putting sustainability to the front at the same time.
