light paths” is a series of digital photographs taken during the two weeks of lockdown in Florence and the subject of each one of them, in different ways, is light.

To represent light and what it’s able to create within human creations was my goal; presenting light from a different, less common point of view was the core of the concept. to make the viewer witness these interactions in a distort and not realistic way was also part of this process, intertwining reality and the surreal.

Text accompanies the photographs to convey the feelings to the viewer that these images generate for me. I chose to write thoughts I had while looking at the picture, lyrics of the songs I was listening to while I was taking the photograph, sentences and thoughts that the image itself inspire. Presenting this pictures with the white back too and few words on it feels like writing down memories to not let them fade. Time will pass but what I felt in that moment will remain.
