Let's prevent devastation - Virtual Concept. Today's post is about climate change and the current issue of forest fires in California, USA. 

Looking back on 2020, it was truly a terrible year for wildfires. 52,934 fires burned 9,539,554 acres in the US and California saw the first-ever ‘gigafire’ – a single blaze spanning over 1,000,000 acres – an area larger than the state of Rhode Island. Climate change will make this year's summer worse. 

The planet's temperature has risen about 1.62 degrees Fahrenheit (0.9 degrees Celsius) since the late 19th century, a change driven largely by increased carbon dioxide and other human-made emissions into the atmosphere.

The Copa's design mimics a weather temperature map featuring four bright colours on the soleplates: red and yellow on the right boot and green and blue on the left boot while crisp white on the laceless upper finishes off the design. 

Why create a concept? I created a concept to further raise awareness and spread the message about climate change not just being an issue in the future but now in the present day. If we can create global warming we can reverse the effects by; Spreading the word, using renewable energy technology for heating, reduce water waste, eat less meat, buy better light bulbs, drive a fuel efficient vehicle and many more.
