January 1st, 2020, we rose our glasses to a new year, a new decade, in the hope of new beginnings and exciting adventures. Little did we know we would be greeted with a global pandemic and an everlasting lockdown that would ruin all our plans. Nevertheless, it also gave us time to self-reflect, grow, and understand what matters to us in this fast-paced world, allowing us to become a better person. We detoxed ourselves from the idea of happiness and life that society had provided us with and found what it meant to us...as an individual. We ditched the norms and explored our individuality.
Hence, the piece Detoxed is created to symbolize our growth during the pandemic.
