In the fall of 2013 UNC Charlotte welcomed football to the campus. With this athletic addition, the university transitioned from Spring Homecoming, centered around basketball, to Fall Football Homecoming. This transition meant a new identity. Since this was the Inuagural season, the marketing and promotions started in the spring and into the fall when students returned from summer break. Like the basketball homecoming campaigns from 2012
the materials included posters, digital signs, banners, shirts and other promo giveaways.
