Research Methodology & Ethnography
This design project was a classroom project in collaboration with IBM India Research Labs (IRL) under their Open Collaborative Research (OCR) program.

The research goal was to investigate the possibility of common service ecosystem for multimodal interaction to reduce "digital divide " by targeting population in developing economies. 

The project brief  was to study  the communication processes in the rural India with respect to cell phones.

In this project students were divided in seven teams of four members . Each team had  two native language speakers and two non-native speakers. All the teams were sent to various places across India to study their focus community. 

Our team was sent to Mandvi, a costal town located in Kutch, Gujarat. The focus community assigned to our team was Auto-rickshaw drivers.I was one of the native speakers in my team. 

Our research methodology included  Long Interviews  and  Participation Observations. After ,conducting long interviews and doing the participation observation the data was collated and synthesised to gain better understanding of the community with respect to the project brief .
