I was assigned to create a mood board, and an inspiration board trend forecasting Spring/Summer 2015 based on what we saw on the runway for Spring Summer 2014. I saw a lot of black, with longer sleeves, but I also recognized a lot of light, romantic pastels as well. I thought it was very unusual to see black let alone with sleeves, so I chose this trend to pair with the romantic gowns that I saw. I also pulled colors from old tinted monochromatic photographs like the one I selected for my mood board of Kate Moss. The fabrics I chose were a mix of very light flowy satins, and some thick black tweed to put the combination into place. My trend overall was to pair warm blacks with pinkish pastels to compliment my Dark Romantic mood.
