When Travel Portland goes to the big trade show where all the hopeful destinations compete for the affection of big conferences and meetings, they have always tried to tell folks how great Portland is. This year, we wanted to do one better. This year, we said lets bring a bit of Portland to the show. So we created a trade show booth stuffed full of Portland icons like our White Stag sign, a bridge, the signs from outside Powell's books and even a food cart that serves Voo Doo donuts. All the graphics inside were digital images that used traffic-stopping cinemagraphs. We also gave away wine, cool bottle openers and eco-coasters. The booth won Best of Show and tons of new Portland fans.
