Cover and Cover Story Lettering
I was hired to collaborate with Baltimore Magaizine’s team to create two main lettering pieces for their December 2019 “Made in Maryland” issue.
The first deliverable was the cover lettering and the second being a badge design for the interior pages of the magazine. The “Made in Maryland” badge was to be designed in a black shape which will be placed over top of a photograph to open the feature spread for Made in Maryland.
Project Impact
The hand-drawn type for cover enhanced the theme of “Made in Maryland”. Texture was added to make it feel as if it was screen-printing further playing off of the theme of the magazine. It was a pleasure seeing my work help promote these talented markers of Maryland! The collaboration with the Baltimore Magazine team made all the difference as well
