Flight

The site extension is a proposal for a crematory next to the Brion Vega Cemetery. The Brion Vega Cemetery was created By Carlo Scarpa for the Brion Family. His design was an extension from an existing traditional cemetery.

Many different cultures through out the world have used it as a ceremonial tribute to the deceased. In the current day and age it is used in densely populated areas as an urban solution. Through the design of the different elements placed through the site, the concept of flight is represented. Here, flight is understood as the soul being released from the body.
