For my first project in the Web Design I course, we were given a selection of websites to choose from, which were lacking in both aesthetics and usability. Once selected, we performed a content analysis to analyze the target audience, prioritized information in the site hierarchy according to importance, and revised the site flow. Then, we developed wireframes and mockups, to give an impression of what the finalized website would look like and how a user would interact with it. For my project, I chose to undertake the Riverside Art Center, which is an organization dedicated to providing art educational opportunities to students and showcasing art from local talent.
