For this assignment we were tasked with designing a book with provided text called Spontaneous Effort. Our only imagery we could use throughout the book was of an object we pulled from a box in class. I pulled out a tea bag. I started my project by deconstructing the tea bag and coming up with as much photography as I could. I then had the idea to stain my spread with tea. I stained plain paper and scanned it in to the computer and placed it below my designed spreads and printed those out. I chose to use a light color pallete and opacities to relate back to the translucent tea bag. The cover of my book features a tea cup cut out revealing the tea stained page beneath it, a string from a tea bag and a hand made tea label with the title on it!
