Background

Dialect is an important component of our intangible cultural heritage. The new generation is starting to loose touch with their dialect cultures which widens intergeneration gap within families. Our dialect culture stretches beyond the language, it helps individuals understand their cultural roots, stories, arts and food. The essence of our ethnic culture has to be preserved, kept alive, and passed on to future generations.

Objective

To create a holistic Brand Identity and Experience for a Dialect school.

By developing appropriate Experiences, Touchpoints and an appropriate Brand Name

that aligns to the Brand Strategy.

Kio Hokkien Academy is the bridge to the Hokkien Way of Life.

Kio means 'Bridge' in Hokkien. Kio Hokkien Academy is a Hokkien Dialect School that bridges learners to the Hokkien Way of Life. With a holistic learning system that cultivates Consistent Learning, learners are able to master the Hokkien dialect well and foster personal connections with the dialect easily through everyday means. Kio Hokkien Academy provides refreshing learning experiences to incorporate Hokkien into daily lives for Everyday Hokkien Learning, motivating youths to be passionate about the dialect everyday which sparks opportunities for our ethnic heritage to be kept alive.
