How do we defend ourselves? What do we expose but also hide? As a child we make ourselves vulnerable to so many people. Over time we get hurt and begin to protect ourselves by conforming, building a facade until we reach a point in which we don't even recognize ourselves. We hand over control in an attempt to gain it.
