In this design I depicted a woman raising her fist as if she is protesting with iron bars and a lock covering her mouth. This represents activists advocating for women’s rights and gender equality, however the bars and lock represents women’s voices being overlooked and ignored in a patriarchal society. 

This design depicts two women hugging each other, with one being a victim of violence. This represents the ability to help advocate for women’s rights, you can support women in your life whether it be talking to them or even giving them a hug. Supporting women can help empower them therefore bringing awareness. In addition many women around the world often feel discouraged to speak up supporting them can help the cause.

This design depicts a woman with barbed wire wrapped around her body, the barbs are replaced with hands. It represents gender based violence such as rape, harassment and abuse that women experience in their lives. Many women often feel like they are stuck and can’t escape which is symbolized through the barbed wire.
