There is a saying in Korea. When one fish in a pair dies, the other fish dies within 10 days. For that reason fish have become a symbol of everlasting love. This piece was inspired by that folk saying. I have tried to capture the free swaying motions of the fish and the bubbles of the sea to describe that everlasting love.

 

When people wish upon a shooting star their wishes come true. This piece was inspired by this sentiment and the beauty of the stars in the night sky. I tried to showcase the whimsical and beautiful nature of the sky.

 

 

During the Joseon Dynasty period, there were secret gardens built in the ancient palace only for the use of the Emperor and Empress. In this piece, I was inspired by the mysteries of the secret gardens that only royalty have ever laid their eyes on. At that time, gold, red and the symbol of the crane could only be used in ornaments, crowns and clothes of the royals and I have used these symbols of royalty to express the exclusivity of the secret garden.

 

 

This is a jewelry design that was also inspired by water. I tried to capture the subtle and gentle motions of streams and splashes of water.
